Abstract

In today’s severely competitive environment, the success of information centers depends on their high-quality, cost-effective, and flexible services that are offered to their researchers. To the extent these services are successful, it will have positive effects on the corporate reputation of information centers in the eyes of the researchers, namely social (external) stakeholders. While interest in the concept of corporate reputation has gained momentum in the last few years, a precise and commonly agreed upon definition is still lacking. As a theory based conceptualization, corporate reputation is the widely shared beliefs of stakeholders that the corporations will behave in the best of their interests and will keep perspectives of stakeholders in the center of decision making process. The purpose of this paper is to explore the level of corporate reputation for the researchers, through case analysis on Islamic Research Center (ISAM) Library, one of the most important information institutions in Istanbul, Turkey. A structured survey was developed and performed. The target population in this study were the researchers (bachelor's, master's and doctoral students and amateur researchers and academic experts) using research center services in ISAM library
