Abstract

In this study, 9th grade geography book, which is applied in Turkish high schools, is compared to 9th grade geography book in high schools (Gymnasium) in Germany. This research has a qualitative pattern. Physical features of textbooks and their teaching-learning process are put forth and compared to each other. According to the research results, besides having advantages over each other; schoolbooks that have been taught in Germany has more positive features than the books of Turkish Republic Ministry of National Education. In the light of these findings, some suggestions have been given to researchers, teachers and curriculum development specialists

Özet

Bu çalışmada, ülkemizde 9. sınıflarda okutulan coğrafya ders kitabı ile Almanya’da liselerde (Gymnasium) okutulmakta olan coğrafya ders kitabı incelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Araştırma nitel bir desene sahiptir. Ders kitaplarının dış yapı (fizikî) özellikleri ve öğretme-öğrenme süreci ortaya konarak karşılaştırmalar yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, Türkiye ve Almanya’da kullanılmakta olan ders kitaplarının birbirine üstün yönlerinin yanı sıra Almanya’daki ders kitabının MEB ders kitabına göre daha fazla olumlu yönleri bulunmaktadır
