Abstract

Aim: The purpose of this study is to investigate the bond strength of prefabric posts cemented with different resin cements with or without resin reinforcement in flared root canals after fatigue test. Materials and Method: 50 upper canine teeth were cut 1 mm above to enamel-cement junction and their roots were enlarged excessively lmm to apex to simulate the flared root canals. The teeth were filled with gutta perka. Then the post spaces (4 mm canal filling, 11 mm post length) were prepared and the teeth were divided into 5 groups, each of them consisted of 10 specimens: Group 1: Prefabric pos + Panavia resin cement, Group 2: Prefabric post + Rely X resin cement, Group 3: Resin reinforcement + Prefabric post + Panavia resin cement, Group4: Resin reinforcement + Prefabric post + Rely X resin cement, Group 5: Prefabric post + zincphosphate cement. Each root was covered with self-curing relining material to simulate periodontal ligament and embedded in acrylic resin. Specimens were loaded (50N axial load, 200 msec contact time, 700 msec whole cycle) 5000 times in dynamic load simulator. After fatique test, the intact specimens were applied to tensile strength test in universal testing machine at cross head speed of Immlmin. The groups were statistically evaluated by Kruskal Wallis Variance Analyse and then Mann-Whitney U test was used to determine difference between groups. Results: There was a statistically significant difference between groups (p<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference between group 3 and 4 (p>0.05) also between group 1 and 2 (p>0.05), respectively. It was found that the bond strengths of group 3 and group 4 were statistically higher than the group 1 and group 2 (p<0.05). Conclusion: Post cementation with resin cement after resin reinforcement in flared root canals has increased the tensile bond strength of prefabric posts after fatique test.

Gruplar; Grup 1 .Prefabrik post + Panavia Rezin Siman, Grup2: Prefabrik post + Rely X Rezin Siman, Grup3: Rezinle güçlendirme + Prefabrik post + Panavia Rezin Siman, Grup 4: Rezinle güçlendirme + Prefabrik pos + Rely X Rezin Siman, Grup5: Prefabrik pos + Çinko fosfat Si¬man olarak hazırlandı. Dişlerin kök yüzeyleri periodontal membranı taklit etmek amacıyla yumuşak astar materyali ile kaplandı ve servikalleri 2 mm dışarıda kalacak şekilde ahilik reıine gömüldü. Örneklere dinamik yük simülatöründe (50N aksiyalyük, 200 milisaniye temas süresi, 700 milisaniye toplam siklus) 5000 kere yorulma testi uygulandı. Yorulma testi sonrası örneklere I mml dakikalık hızda universal test cihazında çekme testi uygulandı.
