Abstract

Aim: Absence of the denture components in the neutral area can cause phonetic, functional and esthetic problems. Clinical observations are used to evaluate the harmony of their dentures insitu. Cephalometric analysis is a biomorphological measurement method in most areas of dental practice and it is a helpful method for evaluating the skeletal and profile analysis of edentulous patients. In this studv.we aimed to evaluate how the dentures that were made by pregraduated students support the soft and hard tissues of edentulous patients by cephalometric analysis. Subjects and Methods: 25 edentulous patients who attended to our faculty for construction of their dentures were evaluated with cephalometric analyse before and after denture wearing. Results: Statistical data were obtained with using student-t and paired-t tests. Conclusion: Final results of the cephalometric analysis were evaluated before and after denture wearing and observed that skeletal and soft tissue analysis were close to norms. In this study we obtained that cephalometric analysis supported the cilinical parameters.
