When not properly managed, it can result in acute and chronic complications. One of these complications, diabetic foot, is a serious condition that can progress to amputation if not intervened in a timely manner. The primary objective in diabetic foot treatment is to prevent ulceration and take the necessary precautions to maintain foot health. One of the most critical factors in the effectiveness of treatment is the proper education of patients and their relatives regarding diabetic foot and foot care. It is well-established that education on foot care plays a vital role in preventing foot problems and improving the quality of life. In this case report, it is aimed to comprehensively evaluate and analyze the nursing care management of a patient diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, who developed a diabetic food injury following penetration by a glass shard and presented to a state, in accordance with Gordon’s Functional Health Patterns Model.
