Abstract

As a social being, humans are in constant development and change along with the social structures they are a part of, as the fundamental element in the formation of social structures. Human beings have always made an effort to develop their abilities in order to realize their desire to be at the forefront physically, psychologically and socially in social formations. Sports organizations have always been an arena where people can prove themselves and show their strength. The motto of the modern Olympics, “Citius, Altius, Fortius”, is emphasized as creating motivation that encourages people to become superhuman. In addition, the aim of obtaining maximum efficiency from the body was defined by Brohm (1978) as “Sport is the Taylorization of the body”. From a sporting perspective, the aim of achieving maximum performance from athletes by pushing the limits of the human body using scientific methods can be seen as the reflection of Taylorism in the sporting field. Enhanced Games, on the other hand, carries out its programs with an anti-IOC structure, with the vision of building superhumanity, against traditional sports paradigms. Enhanced Games was established as a sporting event that advocates the use of prohibited substances and performance-enhancing methods under medical supervision and control. The Games aim to realize the dream of athletes reaching the maximum capacity of human limits by enabling performance enhancement practices (pharmacological, organic, technological). It is also stated that the Enhanced Games will be held in Las Vegas, United States, in May 2026 and will become an annual sports organization. The aim of this research is to correctly understand the Enhanced Games phenomenon and to critically examine its potential impact within the evolving structure of sports. This research is a conceptual/critical review that examines the Enhanced Games phenomenon from a managerial perspective within the framework of sports ethics and sports sociology.
