Abstract

Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) is a system that aims to keep machinery and equipment in manufacturing facilities continuously operational through regular and planned maintenance. In this approach, all employees participate in maintenance activities, thereby contributing to the dynamic and efficient operation of machines. The primary objective of TPM is to instill a sense of responsibility and ownership in personnel while enhancing their knowledge of machinery and equipment. This enables employees to analyze the relationship between machinery, raw materials, semi-finished, and final products, and to develop the necessary skills and competencies. Continuously operating machines minimize production losses and achieve near-optimal efficiency. In turn, this not only reduces costs but also provides a significant competitive advantage for enterprises. This study evaluates the impact of production losses on efficiency and costs using production data, while also examining the implementation steps of TPM and the resulting outcomes.
