In our country, the departments within the Faculties of Theology come together from time to time for the purposes of discussing their own issues and for the academic staff of the department to get to know each other and exchange views. One of them is the Department of History of Islamic Sects. The members of the department, who came together for the last time in 2019, continued their meetings, which they took a break due to the pandemic, in Rize between 28-30 April 2023 this year. Ülkemizde İlahiyat Fakülteleri bünyesindeki anabilim dalları kendi meselelerini görüşmek ve anabilim dalı öğretim elemanlarının birbirlerini tanıması, görüş alışverişinde bulunması gibi amaçlarla zaman zaman belli periyotlarla bir araya gelmektedir. Bunlardan biri de İslam Mezhepleri Tarihi anabilim dalıdır. En son 2019 yılında biraraya gelen anabilim dalı öğretim elemanları pandemi sebebiyle ara verdikleri toplantılarına bu sene 28-30 Nisan 2023 tarihleri arasında Rize'de devam ettiler. Daha önce anabilim dalının kendi iç meselelerinin müzakeresi yanında program içerisinde konulu çalıştay veya sempozyum da içeren toplantılarda bu sene farklı bir yol izlendi ve son yıllarda alanda doktora tezini tamamlayanlardan gönüllü olan altı kişinin tezlerine dair sunumlar dinlendi ve müzakere edildi.
