Abstract

This study investigates 19 communication verbs in the Qur'ān through a three-dimensional framework comprising speech act theory, valency analysis, and semantic field theory. The dataset consists of 1,769 verses drawn from the Tanzil Quranic corpus and the Turkish translation published by the Presidency of Religious Affairs (2022). A mixed-methods design integrating qualitative content analysis and corpus linguistics was applied. Three primary patterns emerged: assertive acts predominate in the speech act dimension; the Allah-centered vertical descending channel surpasses other channels both in frequency and structural complexity; and قال occupies the central prototype position in the semantic field across all four criteria. The capacity of وعد to carry ethically opposite content within the same three-valency structure, and جادل as the only verb whose mufāʿala morphology renders the manner actant obligatory, represent findings unique to the integrated framework. This is the first systematic corpus-based study to integrate speech act and valency dimensions in Quranic linguistics. Building on these findings, it is recommended that future research in Quranic linguistics integrate speech act and valency dimensions to generate analytical added value beyond single-axis analyses.

Özet

Bu çalışma, Kur'ân-ı Kerîm'deki 19 iletişim fiilini söz edimi kuramı, değerlik çözümlemesi ve anlambilimsel alan teorisinin oluşturduğu üçlü bir çerçevede incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Tanzil Kur'ân derleminden ve Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı (2022) Türkçe mealinden derlenen 1.769 ayeti kapsayan çalışma grubu, karma yöntem deseni çerçevesinde niteliksel içerik çözümlemesi ve derlem dilbilimi araçlarıyla işlenmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular üç temel örüntü ortaya koymaktadır: bildirimci edimlerin söz edimi düzleminde baskın olduğu, Allah merkezli dikey inen iletişim kanalının hem sayısal hem yapısal düzeyde diğer kanalları aştığı ve anlambilimsel alanın قال merkezi prototip üye olarak dört ölçütün tamamında öne çıktığı bir yapı gözlemlenmektedir. وعد fiilinin aynı 3-valentli argüman yapısıyla zıt etik içerikleri taşıyabilmesi ve جادل fiilinin mufâ'ale morfolojisinin tarz aktantını zorunlu kılan tek fiil olması, bütünleşik çerçevenin tek eksenli analizlere göre ürettiği özgün bulgulardır. Araştırma, söz edimi ve değerlik eksenlerini Kur'ânî iletişim fiilleri üzerinde derlem temelli biçimde bütünleştiren ilk sistematik çalışma olma özelliğini taşımaktadır. Bu bulgular ışığında, Kur'ân dilbilimi alanındaki gelecek çalışmaların söz edimi ve değerlik eksenlerini bütünleşik biçimde işletmesinin analitik artı değer üreteceği önerilmektedir.
