Abstract

Arrowheads named as "Lydian Type" have been unearthed in Western Anatolian cities Symrnia and Erithrai between 7.-6. Centuries B.C. were bronze made arrowheads. Other than Western Anatolia finding the same material in Greece proves that this very type of arrowheads had been spread to wide area. After Persian invasion in Western Anatolia, iron made arrowheads started to be prefered over bronze made ones. Amongst the major reasons of the change, low cost of production of iron made arrowheads thanks to initiation of the iron workshop's productions around the region is the leading one.
