Özet
19. yüzyıl, Türk edebiyatı için bir arayışlar dönemidir. Bu dönemde edebî bir topluluk olarak karşımıza çıkan Encümen-i Şuara, dönemin önemli bazı şairlerini bir araya getirmiştir. Hersekli Ârif Hikmet Bey’in evinde her hafta toplanan Encümen üyelerinin şiirleri, topluluk üyeleri önünde okunmaktadır. Gür sesinden dolayı, genç Namık Kemal’e okutulan şiirlerin eleştirisi yapılmaktadır. Türk şiirini geliştirmek amacıyla bir araya gelen bu sanatçılar arasında, edebî kişiliklerinin ilk dönemlerini yaşayan Ziya Paşa ve Namık Kemal’e de rastlıyoruz. Şinasi’nin de topluluğun bazı üyeleriyle edebî ilişkisi bilinmektedir. Bu çalışmada, Encümen-i Şuara’nın Tanzimat Birinci Dönem sanatçılarından Şinasi, Namık Kemal ve Ziya Paşa üzerindeki etkisi araştırılmıştır.
