Abstract
The entrepreneurship, an overriding issue of late years, provides an important contribution to the creation of new businesses and to the solution of the employment problem. Entrepreneurship education is also important in formation of entrepreneurial spirit and in the emergence of successful entrepreneurs. In this study, entrepreneurship education in the top100 universities of the world, state and foundation universities in Turkey have been analyzed via content analysis through web sites of the universities under entrepreneurship courses and course content, whether having entrepreneurship center and entrepreneurial community/clubs topics. In respect of the findings, university-level entrepreneurship education is provided intensively at the undergraduate level in Turkey but the opposite of the situation is valid for the world. By the importance of university-level entrepreneurship education to be proven in Turkey, structuring a unique and functional education by fulfilling the needs by the side of the world would be an important step to train successful entrepreneurs.

Özet Son yıllarda önemli konuların başında gelen girişimcilik, yeni iş alanlarının oluşturulmasına ve istihdam sorunlarının çözümüne önemli katkılar sağlamaktadır. Girişimcilik ruhunun oluşması ve başarılı girişimcilerin ortaya çıkmasında girişimcilik eğitimi de önemli bir yer tutmaktadır. Bu çalışmada girişimci, girişimcilik kavramları üzerinde durularak Dünya’daki ilk 100 üniversite ve Türkiye’deki devlet, vakıf üniversitelerindeki girişimcilik eğitimi; üniversitelerin internet siteleri üzerinden; girişimcilik dersi ve ders içeriği, girişimcilik merkezi ve girişimcilik topluluğu/kulübü olup olmadığı başlıkları altında içerik analiziyle incelenmiştir. Elde edilen bulgulara göre; Türkiye’de üniversite düzeyinde girişimcilik eğitiminin ön lisans düzeyinde yoğun olarak verildiği, dünyada ise durumun tam tersi olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Türkiye’de üniversite düzeyinde girişimcilik eğitiminin öneminin anlaşılmasıyla, dünyaya göre eksiklikler giderilerek daha özgün ve işlevsel bir yapıya kavuşturulması daha başarılı girişimcilerin yetiştirilmesi için önemli bir adım olacaktır
