In this study, 41 patients who underwent tracheotomy between 2001 and 2003 were reviewed retrospectively according to complications. Peroperative complications are, cardiopulmonary arrest (one case-2.4%), pneumoth-orax and amphiseme (one case-2.4%). Post operative complications are arterial bleeding (two cases-4.8%), decanulation difficulty (one case-2.4%), canul displacement (four cases-9.6%). Methods and preservation in preventing complications were discussed. Two of the complicated cases were underwent elective tracheotomy in which decanulation was observed.

Haydarpasa Numune Egitim ve Ara§tirma Hastanesi 1 .KBB kiinigi tarafmdan 2001-2003 yillari arasmda uygu-lanan 41 trakeotomi vakasinin.kayitlan komplikasyonlar acismdan degerlendirilmistir. Komplikasyon olarak perop 1 (%2.4) kardiyopulmoner arrest ve 1 (%2.4) pno-motoraks ve cilt alti amfizem, erken post op 2 (%4.8) major arteriyel kanama ve 4 (%9.6) kanul gikmasi, gee postop ise bir vakada dekanulasyon guglugu gozlen-mistir. Komplikasyonlu vakalann sadece ikisi elektif trakeotomi uygulanan vakalardir ve bunlarda kanul cikmasi gozlenmistir. Literaturdeki komplikasyon' oran-lari da degerlendirilerek, komplikasyon farm onlen-mesinde tedbirler tartisilmistir.
