Abstract

Experienced trauma by an 8 - year - old boy had resulted in complicated crown — root fracture of immature maxillary left central incisor. Fracture had affected frontal aspect, running vertically in mesio - distal direction and extending apically beyond cervical third of the root. The fragment including vestibular alveoler process had been dismissed. After extirpation of pulp by another dentist, patient was referred to the Pediatric Dentistry Clinic. Under local anesthesia, fracture surface was surgically exposed and pulp root canal was treated with calcium hydroxide. Following the restoration of crown and root surfaces with a light activated hybride composite, titanium re—inforced expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) membrane was placed over surgery site which was then sutured and dressed by a peridontal paste. Calcium hydroxide dressing was changed every two months throughout the follow—up period. Outcome of this treatment approach is presented.

Özet

Komplike kron-kök kırığı olgularında, yaralanma sonucu oluşan pulpa açılımı, tedavi planlamasında yaratacağı olas güçlükler nedeniyle özellikle önemlidir. Sunulan olgu raporunda, geçirdiği yaralanma sonucu list gene sol orta keser dişinde komplike kron-kök kırığı meydana gelmiş olan 8 yaşındaki bir erkek hastaya uygulanan tedavi bildirilmektedir. Ilgili dişin pulpasi baska bir dişhekimi tarafından ekstirpe edildikten sonra klinikte görülen hastada kalsiyum hidroksitle apeksifikasyon işlemine başlanmış, yaralanma sonucu açığa çıkan kron ve kök yüzeylerinin restorasyonu hibrit kompozitle yapılmıştır. Aynca yaralanma sırasında kırılmış olan alveoler kemiğin rejenerasyonunu sağlamak amacıyla restore edilen kök yüzeyi üzerine titanyum ile güçlendirilmiş ePTFE membran uygulanmıştır. Uygulanan tedavi yaklaşımının klinik takibi sunulmuş ve sonuçları tartışılmıştır.
