Abstract
The aim of this experimental study was to find the effect of intraperitoneal insulin injected to Balb-C mice onto the activation of peripheral mononuclear cells. Human insulin was injected to 10 mice for 5 times in subsequent two weeks. In the control group 4 mice was injected by serum physiological. Slides were prepared with peripheral blood obtained from those mice. In the microscopic examination of slides, lymphocyte counts were significantly increased in the insulin-injected group (p0.05). In conclusion it was suggested that insulin as a protein lead to increase in counts of peripheral blood lymphocytes
Özet
Bu deneysel çalışmanın amacı; intraperitoneal insülinin Balb-C farelerde periferik kan mononükleer hücre aktivasyonuna etkisinin araştırılmasıdır, insan insülini 10 adet fareye 5 kez iki hafta aralıklarla yapıldı. Kontrol grubundaki 4 fareye ise sadece serum fizyolojik enjekte edildi. Farelerden alınan kan ile yapılan periferik yaymaların mikroskobik incelenmesinde, insulin enjekte edilen grupta, lenfosit sayılarının anlamlı derecede arttığı saptandı (P0.05). Sonuç olarak bu çalışmada, immünomo-dülatör özelliği olduğu düşünülen insülinin, periferik kanda lenfosit sayılarında bir artışa neden olduğu görüşüne varılmıştır
