Abstract

The aim of the study was to examination the moral maturity and the willingness to forgive according to the personality traits of the individuals. The study was conducted in relational screening model. Individuals who constituted the working group were 370 volunteer students attending Kilis 7 Aralık University. The "General Information Form”, “Adjective Based Personality Scale (ABPT)”, “Willingness to Forgive Scale” and “Moral Maturity Scale” were used in the data collection. As the result of the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test showed no normal distribution, the nonparametric methods such as Mann Whitney U-test, Kruskal-Wallis Variance Analysis technique and Spearman Rank Correlation Analysis were used for analysis. It was determined at the result of the research the individual's willingness to forgive and the moral maturity differentiated by their personality. In addition, gender, graduated high school type and previous live place variables according to personality characteristics; age and gender variables according to willingness to forgive; the graduated high school variable according to the moral maturity has reached the result that makes meaningful difference.

Özet

Çalışmada amaçlanan bireylerin kişilik özelliklerine göre ahlaki olgunluklarının ve bağışlama istekliliklerinin hangiyönde değiştiğini belirlemek olmuştur. Çalışma ilişkisel tarama modelinde gerçekleştirilmiş olup çalışma grubunuoluşturan bireyler Kilis 7 Aralık Üniversitesi’ne devam eden ve katılıma istekli olan 370 öğrencidir. Verilerintoplanmasında “Genel Bilgi Formu”, “Sıfatlara Dayalı Kişilik Testi (SDKT)”, “Ahlaki Olgunluk Ölçeği (AOÖ)” ve“Bağışlama İstekliliği Ölçeği (BİÖ)” kullanılmıştır. Yapılan Kolmogorov-Smirnov testi sonucunda veriler normaldağılım göstermediği için analiz işlemlerinde Mann Whitney U-testi, Kruskal-Wallis Varyans Analizi tekniği veSpearman Sıra Korelâsyonu Analizi olmak üzere nonparametrik yöntemlerden faydalanılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda;bireylerin bağışlama isteklilikleri ile ahlaki olgunluklarının kişiliklerine göre farklılaştığı belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca kişiliközelliklerine göre cinsiyet, mezun olunan lise türü ve daha önce yaşanılan yer değişkenlerinin; bağışlama istekliliğindeyaş ve cinsiyet değişkenlerinin; ahlaki olgunluğa göre ise mezun olunan lise değişkeninin anlamlı farklılık meydanagetirdiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
