Abstract

Fibrous dysplasia is an idiopathic skeletal lesion that results in the replacement of all thecomponents of cancellous bone by fibrous tissue containing abnormal-appearing bone invarying amounts. Three clinical types of fibrous dysplasia identified: Monostotic type, effectsa single bone and generated 70% of all cases. Polyostotic type effects more than one bone andseen in %20. Mc Cune Albright syndrome is an another form that is a clinical condition displaysendocrine involvement. Radiographically, periphery of the fibrous dysplasia lesions is oftenunclear and internal structure of the bone may be radiolucent, more radiopaque or mixture ofboth. In this case report, clinical and radiographical findings of a 25 year-old female patient withcranial and vertebral involvement polyostotic fibrous dysplasia will be presented and discussedaccording to the cases in the literature.
