Abstract

Bone and joint tuberculosis occurs in 1-5% children who have untreated initial pulmonary tuberculosis. Spread to the skeletal system occurs during the initial infection via the lymphohaematogenous route. We report a girl with tuberculous dactylitis which is a rare manifestation of tuberculosis. Our aim was to remind that when children have swelling, pain and inflamation signs in the finger, since tuberculosis is endemic in our country, in order to avoid serious consequences we should consider the tuberculosis in differiantial diagnosis.
