Abstract

Objective: Retrospective analysis of patients followed in diabetes outpatient clinic since 1994. Study design: Group study (retrospective, cohort) Material & Methods: Values of patients at least two times visited outpatient diabetes clinic in last year evaluated. Thirty five percent was man and 65% was women. Results: 6% of patients was type I DM, 93% type 2 and 0.8% gestalional diabetic. There was no complication in 34% and 66% had complications. 59% was hypertensive, 19.7% had ischemic heart disease, 8.4% had peripheric arterial disease, 8% macroalbuminuric nephropathy, 25% microalbumiruric nephropathy, 16% retinopathy, 2% had diabetic foot wounds and 39% symmetrical distal neuropathy. Conclusion:We could not reach aimed therapeutic levels so the complications were high. Delay in diagnosis, inapropriate support for medical nutritional therapy, bad copliance for medications by patients and low educational status are possible explanations for these results.

Bulgular: Hastaların %35 erkek, %65'i kadındı Hastalarımızın %6'sı tip I diyabetli, %93'ü tip 2 diyabetli, %0.8'i gestasyonel diyabetli idi.
