Abstract

To follow fetal development; tables and nomograms defining fetal parameters such as biparietal diameter, femur length and abdominal circumference have been used. In related literature, studies indicate that, ultrasonographic standards depending on fetal development should be administered in various populations. 12-24 week pregnant women were chosen in the second trimester of their pregnancy in order to measure fetal development. Femur length and biparietal diameter were evaluated according to gestational age. Increasing of femur length and biparietal diameter (r= 0,99, r=0,99, respectively) and also decreasing of biparietal diameter/femur length (r= -0,87) with gestational age was statistically significant. This study supports that standarts obtaining from ultrasonographic measures should be determined for different population, for fetal development. And the results of these studies are considered be useful for obstetric studies
