Abstract

Hepatic toxic effects of drugs may result in serious conditions and death. The fulminant hepatit series as a result of antituberculous therapy are frequently reported in recent years. The present study reported two cases diagnosed as fulminant hepatitis as a result of antituberculous drugs (isoniazid, rifampicin and pyrazinamide). The patients have been lost in spite of aggresive supportive treatment. It was focused on the points that physicians should be careful concerning about the hepatotoxicity of the drugs in the management of patients during antituberculous therapy.
