Abstract

Infratemporal fossa (ITF) is hardly accessible for clinical and endoscopic examination because of it is anatomic localization. Lesions located in ITF are diagnosed with the symptoms as a result of extension to the surrounding areas as a late diagnosis. Therefore patients present with different symptoms. Altough lesions located in ITF are a rare ethiology for serous otititis media and unilateral hearing loss; mechanical obstruction of eustachian tube may cause serous otititis media and patients may present only with unilateral hearing loss to otorhinolaryngologist. In this report, a case with unilateral conductive hearing loss and important diagnostic and treatment steps were discussed.
