Abstract

Copeptin is a glycosylated peptide derived from arginine‐vasopressin. Copeptin is a more stable molecule than arginine‐vasopressin and can be easily measured using a simple rapid test. Serum copeptin concentration increases in many clinical conditions, including hyper‐ tension, chronic kidney disease, and cardiovascular disease. In this review, we reviewed the diagnostic and prognostic value of copeptin in different cardiovascular diseases (acute coronary syndrome, stable coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure and hyperten‐ sion) and aimed to provide updates and information on the potential and procedural details of using copeptin in clinical practice.
