Abstract

In this study, the effects of sugar beet factory waste vinasse on some biochemical properties of soil have been evaluated with 6 months incubation experiment. Four different types of vinasse were applied to 300 g pots at 0, 2, 4, 8, 20 L/da doses. On the 15-30-60-120 and 180th days of incubation, β-glucosidase and alkaline phosphatase enzyme activities, soil respiration and microbial biomass were measured in soils. On the 15-60-120 and 180th days of incubation organic matter, pH and EC analysis was performed. As a result of the analysis, CO2 release enhanced with increasing vinasse dose. The microbial biomass carbon (MBC) content of the soils treated with vinas was higher than that of control. Beta glucosidase enzyme activity increased at the beginning of the incubation compared to the control, but there was no significant difference between control and applications depending on sampling time. Beta glucosidase activity decreased significantly at all sampling times in 20 L/da, which is the highest dose of all vinasse (P
