Abstract

Overdoses of amitriptyline in children are one of the most common drug poisinings applied to emergency rooms. Amitriptyline poisining causes several important problems because of its adverse effects affecting various body systems and may be life-threatening. Generally death is related to cardiovascular system involvement. In the present report, a case with no QRS change in the ECG and no cardiac involvement despite amitriptyline overdose ingestion was presented.
