Abstract

Aim: In this study the Turkish adaptation ofChampion s Health Belief Model Scale at testicularcancer screening is being aimed.Method: 120 university students are included in thisstudy. In order to constitute the Turkish form ofChampion s Health Belief Model Scale grouptranslates, back translations, judges expertise andpilot study steps are performed.. In this studyrelating with the reability of measurement, itemanalysis and cronbach aplha reliability coefficient have been used.and confirmative factor analysishave been used to evaluate the construct validity. Results: Cronbach aplha reliability values ofChampion s Health Belief Model Scale have beenfound 0.91. Based on interpretations of a principal compenets analysis, a 5 domain structure wasidentified which included frequency ofsusceptibility, seriousness, benefits, barriers and self-efficacy/confident. It has been found out that inthis study severity subscale has been measured high with the high pointed men having used testicularself examination (p

Özet

Amaç: Bu çalışmada, testis kanseri taramalarınayönelik Championun Sağlık İnanç ModeliÖlçeğinin Türkçeye uyarlaması amaçlanmıştır.Yöntem: Çalışmaya 120 üniversite öğrencisikatılmıştır. Championun Sağlık İnanç ModeliÖlçeğinin Türkçe formunu oluşturmak amacıylagrup çevirisi, geri çeviri, uzman görüşlerininalınması ve pilot uygulama adımları izlenmiştir.Ölçeğin güvenilirliğine yönelik iç tutarlığını değerlendirmek için madde istatistikleri veCronbach Alpha güvenirlik katsayıları, yapı geçerliliğini değerlendirmek amacıyla doğrulayıcı faktör analizi kullanılmıştır.Bulgular: Çalışmada ölçeğin Cronbach Alfa değeri0.91 olarak bulunmuştur. Temel bileşenleranalizinin yorumlanması sonucunda; CSİMÖ altölçek boyutları; duyarlılık, önemseme/ciddiyet,yarar, engel ve öz etkililik/güven olmak üzere beş alanda tanımlanmıştır. Çalışmada öğrencilerin sonbir yılda kendi kendine testis muayenesi uygulamaoranı arttıkça önemseme/ciddiyet algısı puanlarında da yükselme olduğu görülmüştür(p
