Abstract

Müller Maneuver plays an important role in the management planning in Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome patients. The areas of collapse during forced inspiration are easily detected and unnecessary surgical operations are avoided by the help of this maneuver. Videoendoscopic recordings are traditionally done by flexible telescopes in this manavuer. In the absence of flexible telescopes the same videoendoscopic recordings can successfuly be done by using rigid telescopes.

Özet

Obstrüktif Uyku Apne Sendromlu (OSAS) hastaların tedavi planlanmasında Müller Manevrası çok önemli bir yer tutar. Müller Manevrası ile üst solunum yolunda zorunlu inspirasyonla ortaya çıkan daralma ve kollaps alanları saptanarak yararlı olmıyacak cerrahi girişimlerin önlenmesi mümkün olur. Müller Manevrası sırasında klasik olarak fleksible endoskoplarla videoendoskopik kayıt yapılır. Fleksible endoskop olmadığı takdirde aynı videoendoskopik kayıt rijid teleskoplar kullanılarak da başarılı bir şekilde yapılabilir.
