Results: Compared with group 2, bleeding and mucosal laceration were significantly less in group 1 (p<0.05). Although not reaching statistical significance, group 2 exhibited a higher incidence of infection. Amaç: Trombositopeniye bağlı burun kanamalı hastalarda, Gelfoam kullanarak anterior tampon ve klasik ekstrafor tampon uygulamaları karşılaştırıldı. Hastalar ve Yöntemler: Hematoloji kliniğinden epistaksis nedeniyle konsültasyon istenen 54 trombositopenik hastanın 30'una (%55.5) anterior nazal tampon olarak emilebilir Gelfoam (grup 1), 24'üne (%44.4) klasik ekstrafor tampon (grup 2) uygulandı.
