Abstract

Lightning strike is important because of its high risk of mortality. Although the neurologic changes following lightning have been described frequently, permanent deficit is not frequent. In this case we pre-sent a case with right hemiplegia and left corneal perforation after lightning strike. Because of the existing permanent deficits and complications, cases with the same etiology are reviewed.

Özet

Yıldırım çarpması; meydana geldiğinde fatal seyredebilmesi nedeniyle önemli bir durumdur. Yıldırım çarpması sonrası gelişen nörolojik etkilenme nadir görülmemekle birlikte genellikle kalıcı nörolojik defi-site yol açmaz. Bu olgu sunumunda yıldırım çarpması sonrası sağ hemipleji ve sol kornea perforasyonu gelişmiş bir erkek hasta sunulmuş ve kalıcı nörolojik defisite yol açarak komplikasyonlarla seyretmesi nedeniyle benzer etiyolojili vakalar gözden geçirilmiştir.
