Abstract

Aim: The objective of the present study was to investigate the pain on injection and extraction of articaine with adrenaline, prilocaine with phenylpressin, and lidocaine with adrenaline. Material and Methods: The study was comprised of 193 consecutively seen patients received 193 inferior alveolar block injections of 4% articaine with 1:200.000 adrenaline, 3% prilocaine with 0.02 IU/ml phenylpressin, or 2% lidocaine with 1:100.000 adrenaline. Immediately after the injection, patients were asked to rate their injection pain on a six-point scale, and their extraction pain on a visual analog scale (VAS). Results: There were no statistically significant differences among the anesthetic solutions for injection and extraction pain. Conclusion: Articaine with adrenaline, prilocaine with phenylpressin, and lidocaine with adrenaline seemed to be similar for pain on injection and extraction.

Özet

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı epinefrinli artikain, epinefrinli li-dokain ve felypressinli prilokainin enjeksiyon ve çekim sırasındaki ağrılarının değerlendirilmesidir. .
