The coasts are important areas in which people have been interested and benefited in many activities from past to present, and which take part in the intersection field of land and sea ecosystems. As a result of population increase and migration, unstable and unbalanced development are bringing about destroying all living organisms which want to stay alive. As time goes by, the demands to coastal areas which have fertile potential are increasing and tourism, industrial investments cause destructions which will never recycle. Ordu coasts are also in high demand especially in recent years. The coastline of Ordu where intensive coastal use is about 100 km. Özet
Kıyılar, geçmişten günümüze insanların ilgi duyduğu ve bir çok faaliyetle yararlandığı, kara ile deniz ekosistemlerinin kesişme sahasında yer alan önemli ortamlardır. Ancak, bu bölgelerdeki hızlı nüfus artışı ve göçlerin sonucunda yaşanan plansız ve programsız gelişmeler, tüm canlılar için gerekli olan hayat damarlarını tahrip etmektedir. Zengin bir potansiyele sahip kıyılara talep her geçen gün artmakta, turizm ve endüstri yatırımlarından doğan rant geri dönüşümü olamayan tahribatları da beraberinde getirmektedir. Ordu kıyıları da, özellikle son yıllarda yoğun talep görmektedir. Yoğun kıyı kullanımının görüldüğü Ordu’nun yaklaşık 100 km Karadeniz’e kıyısı bulunmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, Ordu’nun kıyı şeridinde son yıllarda gerçekleşen gelişmeler ve denizel ekosisteme olası etkileri üzerinde durulmuştur.
