Abstract
In today's sports industry, the structure of crises has undergone a radical change with the influence of digitalization, Industry 5.0 and smart facility technologies. In this direction, the study aims to present a comprehensive theoretical framework in the context of "digital risk governance" for sports organizations by synthesizing traditional crisis management theories with modern cyber security, digital reputation management and legal liability approaches. In this compilation study designed with a qualitative research approach, document analysis technique was used as a data collection and evaluation tool. The data obtained was analyzed in depth using the thematic analysis method. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that the main factor that determines success in crisis management is "crisis training", not the demographic characteristics of the staff. Additionally, serious cyber vulnerabilities have been detected in e-commerce, Internet of Things (IoT) and smart stadium infrastructures at mega events. In this context, it has been determined that cyber attacks have the potential to create "kinetic sabotage" and are considered an organizational defect that legally imposes "strict liability" on the operator. Transparent communication increases corporate trust against the risk of social media quickly turning crises into global reputation assassinations; It has been concluded that blockchain based systems are the most powerful solution against financial fraud. When a general evaluation is made, it can be seen that crisis management in sports has evolved into a multi layered "digital risk governance" discipline. Therefore, in order for sports organizations to build sustainable strategic resilience, it is vital that they integrate with innovative cyber security networks and create proactive crisis action plans.
