Abstract

In today’s highly competitive environment, qualified human capital emerges as a decisive factor in ensuring the sustainable success of organizations. Enterprises with a talented workforce gain a significant advantage in achieving and maintaining competitive superiority. In this context, talent management is regarded as a strategic human resources approach that not only encompasses recruitment processes but also includes employee development, motivation, and career planning. Particularly in the healthcare sector, the quality of the workforce directly influences service quality and impacts organizational performance. Artificial intelligence (AI)-based applications in talent management enable human resources processes to be carried out more efficiently, rapidly, and in a personalized manner; they reduce the risk of errors, increase organizational productivity, and strengthen competitiveness. These technologies contribute to managing key human resources functions—such as recruitment, performance evaluation, training and development, and succession planning—in a more strategic and data-driven manner. The digitalization of processes enhances the employee experience while facilitating the development of talent management strategies aligned with organizational goals. Furthermore, increased objectivity in decision-making enables more efficient utilization of resources. This study addresses the role of AI technologies in talent management practices within the healthcare sector. Academic studies published between 2019 and 2025 were systematically reviewed, and the effects of AI on human resource management were evaluated. The findings reveal that AI technologies offer significant advantages in HR processes while also introducing new challenges related to ethics, security, and employee perceptions. Accordingly, the integration of technology with human-centered approaches can be considered critical for achieving sustainable success in healthcare institutions.
