Abstract
Objective: Specialization in dentistry has become important as scientific developments have caused differences in both theoretical and clinical practices in dentistry. In this study, it is aimed to examine the DUS Pediatric Dentistry questions that have been asked in the last 10 years in order to help dentists who will take the Dentistry Specialty Training Entrance Exam (DUS) in their preparation process. Material and Method: 128 DUS questions asked in the last 10 years of the study were planned to be included in the scope of Pediatric Dentistry. The classification of subjects is carried out by examining the resources of the Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). Accordingly, according to the questions examined and how it is distributed over the years. Results: When the data obtained as a result of the study were examined, it was seen that the most questions were asked about dental development anomalies (13.28%), while the subjects with the least number of questions were asked; endodontic treatments in young permanent teeth (0.78%), intraoral symptoms of childhood diseases (0.78%), intraoral findings of systemic diseases in children (0.78%) and morphological and histological features of primary teeth (0.78%). Conclusion: When the 13 Dentistry Specialty Education Entrance Exams were examined one by one, it was determined that the topics on which the questions were asked in the exams varied. The results obtained from this study will allow dentists to develop strategies during the exam preparation process.

Amaç: Bilimsel gelişmeler diş hekimliğinde hem teorik hem de klinik uygulamalar bakımından farklılaşmalara neden olduğu için, diş hekimliğinde uzmanlaşma önemli bir hale gelmiştir. Bu çalışmada, Diş Hekimliği Uzmanlık Eğitimi Giriş Sınavı’na (DUS) girecek diş hekimlerinin sınava hazırlık süreçlerine yardımcı olabilmek için son 10 yılda çıkan DUS Çocuk Diş Hekimliği sorularının incelenmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışma, son 10 yılda sorulmuş olan 128 adet DUS Çocuk Diş Hekimliği sorusunu içerecek şekilde planlanmıştır. Konuların sınıflandırılması Ölçme, Seçme ve Yerleştirme Merkezi’nin (ÖSYM) kaynakları incelenerek oluşturulmuştur. Buna göre incelenen soruların konular ve yıllara göre nasıl dağılım gösterdiği incelenmiştir. Bulgular: Çalışma sonucu elde edilen veriler incelendiğinde, en fazla sorunun dişlerin gelişim anomalileri (%13,28) konusundan sorulduğu, en az sayıda soru sorulan konuların ise; genç sürekli dişlerde endodontik tedaviler (%0,78), çocukluk dönemi hastalıklarının ağız içi belirtileri (%0,78), çocuklarda sistemik hastalıkların ağız içi bulguları (%0,78) ve süt dişlerinin morfolojik ve histolojik özellikleri (%0,78) olduğu gözlenmiştir. Sonuç: Gerçekleştirilmiş olan 13 adet Diş Hekimliği Uzmanlık Eğitimi Giriş Sınavı tek tek ele alınıp incelendiğinde, sınavlarda soruların çıkmış olduğu konu başlıklarının değişkenlik gösterdiği saptanmıştır.
