Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effects of parental burnout on marital satisfaction. The study group consisted of 334 married participants with at least one child. Data were collected using a Personal Information Form, the Marital Life Scale (MLS), and the Parental Burnout Assessment Scale (PBAS). Pearson correlation analysis was used to examine the effect of parental burnout on marital satisfaction, while simple linear regression analysis was used to examine its predictive effect. The regression analysis revealed that parental burnout has a significant and negative effect on marital satisfaction in married individuals. Furthermore, gender, income level, and daily usage time were found to significantly affect marital satisfaction, while age and number of children did not show significant differences.
