Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between financial literacy and financial digitalization from the perspective of Generation Z. The research was conducted with data collected from 111 participants and includes five main dimensions: financial knowledge, financial attitude, financial behavior, digital financial attitude, and digital financial usage. Reliability analyses indicated that the scales generally demonstrated high internal consistency, while the digital financial attitude dimension showed moderate reliability. The findings revealed that participants exhibited the highest scores in financial attitudes, whereas financial knowledge and financial behavior remained relatively lower. Pearson correlation results showed a strong relationship between financial attitude and financial behavior (r = .79), as well as a significant and moderately high correlation between digital financial attitude and digital financial usage (r = .62). Additionally, the strong correlation between financial behavior and digital financial usage (r = .75) suggests that digital financial tools function as an extension of traditional financial behaviors. Comparisons by gender and education level indicated no significant differences across all factors. Overall, the study demonstrates that while Generation Z possesses strong financial attitudes, their knowledge and behavioral levels do not fully align with these attitudes; furthermore, digitalization appears to have an integrative effect on financial behaviors.
