Abstract

This study emphasizes the concept of war propaganda as an inevitable part of modern warfare. Our study reveals the development of war propaganda activities throughout history and the transformation of the mediums used for war propaganda. The study focuses on the following questions: “What constitutes war propaganda?”, “What are the turning points in the history of war propaganda?” and “How have the mediums and methods of war propaganda evolved over time?”. This approach reveals the communicative character and technical structure of psychological warfare during wartime. Clarifying this historical schema demonstrates that war propaganda is a sociological phenomenon that increasingly impacts individuals and societies.
