Abstract

While the logistics sector holds a strategic position in the Turkish economy, high employee turnover remains one of its most significant structural challenges. Conducted as a literature review, this study aims to examine employee retention strategies and turnover intentions in the logistics sector at a conceptual level. The research evaluates sectoral dynamics within the theoretical frameworks of perceived organizational support, psychological contract, social exchange, and organizational commitment. Through the synthesis of national and international literature, it is revealed that working conditions specific to the logistics sector significantly increase turnover intention, whereas effective retention strategies can mitigate this effect. The study draws attention to the need for qualitative research in the Turkish logistics sector and offers recommendations for sectoral practices.

Özet

Lojistik sektörü, Türkiye ekonomisinde stratejik bir konuma sahip olmakla birlikte, yüksek personel devir hızı sektörün en önemli yapısal sorunlarından birini oluşturmaktadır. Literatür taraması yöntemiyle yürütülen bu çalışma, lojistik sektöründe çalışan tutma stratejilerini ve işten ayrılma niyetini kavramsal düzeyde incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Araştırmada, algılanan örgütsel destek, psikolojik sözleşme, sosyal mübadele ve örgütsel bağlılık kuramları çerçevesinde sektörel dinamikler değerlendirilmektedir. Ulusal ve uluslararası literatürün sentezlenmesi sonucunda, lojistik sektörüne özgü çalışma koşullarının işten ayrılma niyetini belirgin biçimde artırdığı, buna karşın etkili tutma stratejilerinin bu etkiyi azaltabildiği ortaya konmaktadır. Çalışma, özellikle Türkiye bağlamında lojistik sektöründe nitel araştırma ihtiyacına dikkat çekmekte ve sektörel uygulamalara yönelik öneriler sunmaktadır.
