Abstract
Aim: This study was planned and conducted to evaluate the quality of perioperative care in patients who underwent orthopedic surgery. Materials and Methods: This descriptive study was conducted with 120 patients. The patients' demographic characteristics were questioned using a form developed by the researchers. The Quality Perioperative Nursing Care Scale was administered to measure the quality of perioperative care. Data were collected via face-to-face interviews. The SPSS 21 software package was used to analyze the data. Mann Whitney U and Kruskall Wallis tests were used to compare the two independent groups and the means. Results: The highest mean scores for the quality of perioperative care of the patients included in the study were found in the physical care and information provision subscales, and in the support, respect, and nursing process subscales. However, the scores for the environment subscale and the total scores were not high. Conclusion: In this study, patient satisfaction with the quality of perioperative care was found to be moderate. It has been determined that moderate patient satisfaction is due to low performance in some critical sub-dimensions, especially the environment.
