Abstract
The rise in divorce rates and the significant decline in marriage rates in recent years have raised concerns among those who value the institution of family. These concerns are particularly concentrated around the dissolution of family ties and the gradual erosion of the family structure. While approaches that link transformations in family structure to the dynamics of the digital age are becoming more widespread, the pace at which digital technologies are penetrating all areas of life is also increasing significantly. This article aims to analyze the impact of the digital age on family relationships. To this end, literature focusing on concepts such as family in the digital age, digital addiction, and digital loneliness was examined using qualitative research methods. Findings in the literature indicate that the disintegration of family structures and the weakening of family relationships have historically accelerated with the process of industrialization; however, with the widespread use of digital communication tools in the digital age, this transformation has become even more rapid. Within this framework, this study discusses the concept of "digital conservatism" to protect the fundamental functions of the family and the integrity of family relationships in the face of the dazzling innovations of the digital age, and evaluates the opportunities this concept offers for the family institution.

Son yıllarda boşanma oranlarındaki artış, evlilik oranlarındaki belirgin düşüş, aile kurumuna önem veren kesimlerde kaygılara yol açmaktadır. Bu kaygılar, özellikle aile içi bağların çözülmesi, aile yapısının giderek erozyona uğraması ekseninde yoğunlaşmaktadır. Aile yapısındaki dönüşümlerin dijital çağın dinamikleriyle ilişkili olduğuna dair yaklaşımlar yaygınlaşırken, dijital teknolojilerin yaşamın tüm alanlarına nüfuz etme hızı da dikkat çekici biçimde artmaktadır. Bu makale, dijital çağın aile içi ilişkilere etkisini analiz etme amacıyla kaleme alınmıştır. Bu doğrultuda dijital çağda aile, dijital bağımlılık ve dijital yalnızlık gibi kavramlara odaklanan literatür nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılarak incelenmiştir. Literatürdeki bulgular, aile yapısındaki çözülmenin ve aile içi ilişkilerdeki zayıflamanın tarihsel olarak sanayileşme süreciyle hız kazandığını; ancak dijital çağda yaygınlaşan dijital iletişim araçlarıyla bu dönüşümün çok daha ivmeli bir hâl aldığını göstermektedir. Bu çerçevede çalışma, ailenin temel işlevlerini, aile içi ilişkilerin bütünlüğünü dijital çağın baş döndürücü yenilikleri karşısında koruyabilmek için “dijital muhafazakârlık” kavramını tartışmaya açmakta, bu kavramın aile kurumu açısından sunduğu imkânları değerlendirmektedir.
