Climate; It is of great importance for many types of tourism such as coastal tourism, health tourism, plateau tourism, winter tourism, and the climate sensitivity of these tourism activities is high. The types of activities of their enterprises, seasonal tourism activities and tourism investments are shaped in direct connection with the climate. In addition to these situations, climate plays a major role in tourists' travel motivations and the choice of regions they will travel to. The tourism sector is exposed to many negative effects caused by climate change. In many countries where coastal tourism activities are common, sudden temperature drops in summer affect coastal tourism. The occurrence of high temperatures in the winter months shortens the duration of winter tourism and reaches the point of threatening tourism activities. The destruction of natural beauties and forests leads to the destruction of tourism resources. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effects of climate change on tourism in the context of Bolu and Düzce provinces. Qualitative research technique was used in the research process and the data were collected by face-to-face interview technique. The results obtained as a result of the research are that climate change affects the tourism of the region at a high level.

İklim; kıyı turizmi, sağlık turizmi, yayla turizmi, kış turizmi gibi pek çok turizm türü için büyük öneme sahiptir ve bu turizm faaliyetlerinin iklime duyarlılığı yüksek düzeydedir. İşletmelerinin faaliyet türleri, mevsimsel turizm etkinlikleri ve turizm yatırımları, iklimle doğrudan bağlantılı olarak şekillendirilmektedir. Bu durumlara ek olarak iklim, turistlerin seyahat motivasyonları ve seyahat edecekleri bölgelerin tercihinde büyük rol oynamaktadır. Turizm sektörü iklim değişikliğinin yol açtığı pek çok olumsuz etkiye maruz kalmaktadır. Kıyı turizmi faaliyetlerinin yaygın olduğu pek çok ülkede yaz aylarında ortaya çıkan ani sıcaklık düşüşleri kıyı turizmini etkilemektedir. Kış aylarında yüksek sıcaklıkların görülmesi ise kış turizminin süresini kısaltmakta ve turizm faaliyetlerini tehdit etme noktasına ulaşmaktadır. Doğal güzelliklerin ve ormanların tahribatı turizm kaynaklarının yok olmasına yol açmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, iklim değişikliğinin turizme olan etkilerinin Bolu ve Düzce illeri bağlamında değerlendirilmesi şeklinde belirlenmiştir. Araştırma sürecinde nitel araştırma tekniği kullanılmış ve veriler yüz yüze görüşme tekniği ile toplanmıştır. Araştırma neticesinde elde edilen sonuçlar ise iklim değişikliğinin bölge turizmini yüksek düzeyde etkilediği yönündedir.
