Abstract
In this study, the poem ‘On the Sultan’s Journey’ by the poet Maʻrûf er-Rusâfî will be examined and analysed on the basis of stylistic concepts and levels of analysis. The aim of the research is to present the poet’s perspective on the Ottoman Empire and to highlight the aesthetic qualities of the poem. The subject is divided into two sections: In the first section, I examined the poet’s life and literary standing. I then introduced the occasion for the poem’s composition and its content; I also briefly summarised the life of Sultan Muhammad Reşad, the subject of the praise. In the second section, I analysed the poem from the perspectives of stylistics: Firstly: The phonetic level: This has been examined from two aspects: internal and external. Second: Structural level: The poet’s style of constructing and structuring sentences; elements such as declarative and constructive style, anaphora and parenthetical clauses were examined. Third: Semantic level: This was examined in terms of the clarity or obscurity of word meanings and the developments occurring in their meanings. Fourth: Lexicographical level: The most significant lexical fields have been identified, and the degree of correspondence between the word and its dictionary meaning has been established. The study has demonstrated the beneficial impact that stylistics provides in the analysis of literary texts and the revelation of their aesthetic aspects.

Bu çalışmada, şair Maʻrûf er-Rusâfî’nin “Sultan’ın Gezisi üzerine” isimli şiirini, üslup kavramı ve çözümleme düzeylerine dayalı olarak inceleme ve tahlile tabi tutulacaktır. Araştırmanın amacı, şairin Osmanlı İmparatorluğu’na bakışını tanıtmak ve şiirin estetik güzelliklerini ortaya çıkarmaktır. Konu iki bölümden oluşmaktadır: Birinci bölümde; şairin hayatını ve edebi konumu açısından ele aldım. Ardından, şiirin yazılış vesilesini ve içeriğini tanıttım; övgü konusu olan Sultan Muhammed Reşad’ın hayatını da kısaca özetledim. İkinci bölümde; şiiri üslûpbilimin düzeyleri açısından analiz ettim: Birincisi: Ses düzeyi: İç ve dış olmak üzere iki yönüyle ele alınmıştır.
