Bu yazıda, Türkiye'deki akademik eleştiri kültürünün eksiklikleri ve bu durumun nedenleri analiz edilmektedir. Bilimin temel işlevlerinden biri olan sorgulama ve tartışma pratiğinin, Türkiye eğitim akademisinde yeterince gelişmediği ifade edilmektedir. Eleştiri kültüründeki bu zayıflık, yetkinlik eksikliği, devlet baskısı, öğrenilmiş çaresizlik, politik ayrışmalar ve ekonomik kaygılar gibi 20 başlık altında ele alınmıştır.
