Bu çalışmanın amacı, eğitim felsefesi alanında güncel problemleri ele alan bir eğitim filozofu Nel Noddings’in Eğitim Felsefesi (Philosophy of Education) isimli, Türkçeye 2020 yılında kazandırılan kitabının bir incelemesini sunmaktır. Noddings, kitabını felsefi bir metot ile, eğitimde tarihsel süreçte filozofların görüşlerine yer vererek ve bu görüşleri felsefi eleştirel bir yaklaşımla incelemektedir. Bu nedenle, ortaya koymuş olduğu kitap, bir bilgi aktarımından ibaret değildir. Aktardığı bilgilerin aldıkları eleştirileri ve bu bilgilerde dikkate alınması gereken farklı bakış açılarını da sunmaktadır.
