Abstract

Understanding the phenomenon known as the 'Kurdish issue' in Syria is difficult. Because the effort to understand this phenomenon is not a history of pure sociological curiosity, but rather one of reconfiguration in a form compatible with the political interventions of regional and international actors. This article aims to analyze the sediment left by these political interventions and constructs. Steps taken without this analytical preparation, even if they appear naive, rise on a Western intellectual platform that codes structures like the PKK/YPG as 'strategic allies' in the fight against ISIS. This study attempts to demonstrate that the 'baseless and unfounded discourses' feeding this support from the U.S. and its allies are a 'deception'. The article's core thesis rests on the sharp distinction that must be made between the actions of terrorist organizations and the Kurdish community's legitimate demands for political and cultural rights.

Özet

Suriye'deki 'Kürt meselesi' denen olguyu anlamak zordur.
