Abstract

This study analyses the role of public diplomacy tools in shaping and developing foreign trade relations between Turkey and Kazakhstan. It examines how economic cooperation between the two countries has been supported by cultural, educational, media-based, and political ties since 1992. It comparatively analyses the impact of public diplomacy elements, such as TIKA, the Yunus Emre Institute, the Maarif Foundation, Turkish scholarships and Turkish TV series, on trade volume. It also examines how these elements contribute to resolving diplomatic crises, fostering economic confidence, and promoting investment initiatives. Supported by quantitative data, the analysis reveals the direct and indirect contribution of Turkey's soft power in Kazakhstan to trade relations.
