Abstract
In this study, postgraduate theses written in the field of sīrah between 2015 and 2025 were examined. In line with the scope of the research, we aimed to identify and evaluate the distribution ratios of doctoral and master’s level studies in the field, the intensity of research by years, the leading academics in sīrah studies, and the variety of topics addressed within the discipline along with their proportional representation. Over an approximately ten-year period, we sought to determine in which areas thesis topics were concentrated and to reveal the possible factors influencing these tendencies. In addition, we attempted to assess the areas that were less frequently preferred by researchers. The findings indicate that the predominant themes include sīrah historiography, biographical studies, and socio-cultural as well as economic topics. By contrast, it was observed that certain subtopics were addressed in a limited number of studies. It can be argued that this is influenced by academic trends in the field, supervisory orientations, accessibility of sources, and the level of interdisciplinary approaches.
Özet
Bu çalışmamızda 2015-2025 yılları arasında siyer alanında yazılmış lisansüstü tezler incelenmiştir. Çalışmamız doğrultusunda alandaki akademik çalışmaların doktora ve yüksek lisans dağılım oranlarını, yıllara göre çalışma yoğunluklarını, siyer alanında önde gelen akademisyenlerin tespiti, siyer alanı içerinde ele alınan konu çeşitlerini ve oranlarının tespit ederek değerlendirmeye çalıştık. Yaklaşık on yıl süre ile tez konularının hangi alanlarda yoğunlaştığını, söz konusu yönelimlerde etkili olan muhtemel hususları ortaya çıkarmaya gayret ettik. Ayrıca tercih edilmeyen çalışmaların değerlendirmelerini de yapmaya çalıştık. Veriler sonucunda ağırlıklı olarak siyer yazıcılığı, biyografiler, sosyo-kültürel ve ekonomik başlıkların öne çıktığı anlaşılmaktadır. Buna karşılık bazı alt başlıkların sınırlı sayıda çalışmalara konu edinildiği görülmüştür. Bunda alandaki akademik eğilimlerin, danışmanlık yönelimlerinin, kaynak erişilebilirliğinin ve disiplinler arası yaklaşım düzeyinin etkili olduğunu söyleyebiliriz.
