Abstract
In the Social Studies 4. and 5. class teaching program developed in 2004, the values education started to take place directly which was implicitly took place in the previous curriculum. A research group consists of 34 teachers working in the 8 primary schools in Ankara central districts, were asked about their opinion of this change. Semi- structured interview form was used as a data collection tool. Data obtained at the end of research were solved and evaluated by content analysis. Özet
2004 yılında geliştirilen Sosyal Bilgiler 4 ve 5. Sınıf ÖğretimProgramında önceki programda örtük şekilde yer alan değerler eğitimine doğrudan yer verilmeye başlanmıştır. Yapılan bu değişiklikle ilgili Ankara merkezilçelerdeki 8 ilköğretim okulundaki 34 öğretmenden oluşan araştırma grubunungörüşleri alınmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak yarı yapılandırılmış görüşmeformu kullanılmıştır. Uygulama sonucu elde edilen veriler içerik analiziyleçözümlenerek değerlendirilmiştir. Nitel bir çalışma olan araştırmada öğretmenlerin önemli bir kısmı değerlerin Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretim Programında yer almasından memnun olduğu, öğretmenlerin değer eğitimiyle ilgili hizmetiçi eğitimeihtiyaçları olduğu, ders kitaplarında değer eğitimiyle ilgili yeterli işlenişinolmadığı sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır
