Instructional approaches to students having learning difficulties in mathematics

Abstract
The number of students having difficulties in mathematics is high in general education. We need to be aware of the characteristics of them and to develop instructional approaches to these students. The characteristics of students having difficulties in mathematics will be presented and some suggestions regarding to their active and productive participation to teaching-learning process will be discussed.
Özet
Matematikte öğrenme güçlüğü gösteren öğrenciler genel eğitim içinde önemli bir yer tutmaktadır. Bu öğrencilerin sahip oldukları özelliklerin farkında olmak ve bunlara yönelik öğretim ortamları düzenlemek önemsenmelidir. Matematikte öğrenme güçlüğü çeken öğrencilerin özellikleri ortaya konularak bu gruptaki öğrencileri öğrenme-öğretme sürecine etkin ve üretken biçimde katmaya yönelik öneriler tartışılacaktır.
