The vitalizing field of the history: Theatre

Abstract

In this research, it is examined how drama takes on history. History not only is a discipline related to other disciplines but also is a corroborative discipline for art and literature disciplines as subject. As an art branch, drama takes in hand history according to the spirit of the art not the spirit of the history. So, in theatrical performances taking in hand history as subject, it is given priority to aesthetics and plausibility not historical reality. Drama which holds the first place of human and society arts, benefits from history for different purposes and in the same time humanizes history in conformity with its nature.

Bu çalışmada tiyatronun tarihi ele alış tarzı incelenmiştir. Tarih, diğer bilim dallarıyla ilişkili bir bilim dalı olduğu gibi sanat ve edebiyat türleri için de konu olarak destek sağlar. Bir sanat dalı olarak tiyatro, tarihten yararlanırken onu, tarih bilimine özgü değil sanatın ruhuna özgü olarak işler. Bu yüzden tarihi konu alan tiyatro eserlerinde öncelik tarihsel gerçeklik değil estetik ve inandırıcılıktır. İnsani ve toplumsal sanatların başında gelen tiyatro, tarihten çeşitli amaçlarla yararlanırken aynı zamanda doğasına uygun olarak tarihi insanileştirir.
